Milk vs Milke

MILK the film was amazing and made me cry, i sat right next to my editor and we both left sniveling. I probably would've sobbed uncontrollably if i were alone. Gay Pride: 10/10

MILKE
the electropop outfit are releasing Love Get Out Of My Way, which is in no way tear inducing, albeit very listenable. The Designer Drugs Remix is pretty good. Gay Pride: 4/10

It's not really fair to pit a single against a film, just because they're one letter away from having the same name. sorry. will try harder.

Quick Equation

This Hair:

Plus This Jumper [in white]:

Equals...

The look Fischerspooner (Casey) was rocking last night. It was painfully Shoreditch but quite good pop music, but stupidly busy - to the point of not being able to get downstairs at the atmosphere vacuum that is 'East Village'. Ended up in The Joiners which is all you really need to know about the end of that night.

Candy Coincidence

so, those crazy kids at buffetlibre are at it again giving away lots of amazing covers by lots of amazing people all for free to download, including Dolby Anol covering White Town's Your Woman which I played the original of at Candy Club where Graham was DJing too, and there's a cover of Marcy Playground's Sex and Candy which is the song that Candy Club got its name from TEN YEARS AGO, covered by La Chanson.

It's very good news if you like Bruce Springsteen.

[edit: its very good if you like the song Dancing in the Dark, and could give less of a shit about how Bruce feels about the whole buffetwho? scenario]

A good start to the year

Candy Club’s Queer Beats was Uh-mazing.
My Robot Friend’s roborgasm + blue fingers, Peaches and the drunk go-go, Scott Matthew’s “Remix”, Dancing with Dance Yourself To Death and Carmen’s Cumshot/Johnny’s everything’s-okay-hand-vogue, The Ballet and their all encompassing cuteness and of course, as ever, Thomas Lechner’s impeccable hospitality and awesome Djing/organisation of the whole thing. As I said to several people from several massive cities, there is nowhere else that mixes so many different gays’n’queers with that amount of amazing bands. Uh-mazing.
